Meet The Manger<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hi there! For this weeks blog I thought I would give you a bit of insight into who I am, what I love, and my journey with Schools Plus.<\/p>\n

I promise, I smile a lot more in real life!<\/p><\/div>\n

I have\u00a0two passions and they are Music & Events! And my life pretty much revolves around these two passions.\u00a0I\u00a0have an eclectic taste in music but I absolutely love 70\/80’s Soul and Gospel Music. And of course my favourite type of Event to be involved in is Music Events!\u00a0In my free time I enjoy catching up with friends & family, working with young people at my local Church, attending Music events,\u00a0and on the rare occasions that I get to watch TV, I’m usually watching Crime Dramas, The Food Network or Big Bang Theory re-runs.<\/p>\n

I am one of those very lucky people who has managed to actually work in the fields that I am interested in, which has helped work to occasionally feel more like play. Throughout my career I have juggled positions in both Music & Events, often combing the two. Through my work as an Events Manager I have organised everything from Weddings & Bridal Showers\u00a0to Conferences & Concerts. The bulk of my work in Music has been as a Choir Director\/Manager and this has enabled me to have many exciting opportunities including performances on \u00a0XFactor, Britain’s Got Talent and at the BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall. \u00a0I also previously worked as a Choir Instructor in Primary Schools in South West London before making the transition to a full time Venue Manager.<\/p>\n

I started out with Schools Plus in 2014 as a Venue Host and became Venue Supervisor a few months later. Through the encouragement of my Manager and colleagues I decided to apply for a Venue Manager positionm and after an intense interview I got the job! I currently manage three awesome sites, Ark John Keats Academy in Enfield, King Harold Academy in Waltham Abbey & The Archer Academy in East Finchley. \u00a0I have already learnt so much since becoming Venue Manager which has made me an even better Events professional. I look forward to learning and growing much more in Schools Plus.<\/p>\n
