So here we are in 2017, with a clean, new year slate in front of us. For a lot of people this is a time where they reorganise and refresh their life. Lots of people wanting to lose weight and get fit, and I’m one of them. The good thing is, it is very cool to be fit and take part in Sport. Our huge success at the Olympics has made taking part in a sport very desirable. Last year my daughter shed three stone and many. many inches by taking part in a skinny jeans challenge for eight weeks at a gym, and then becoming a member.
One of the things I’ve noticed a huge increase of is road cycling. No matter what time of day, there is always cyclists out, riding seriously. My son regularly does upwards of 60 mile rides, training for an Iron Man competition later in the year, amongst other crazy sounding challenges. If the weather is bad, then out comes the Turbo trainer for indoor cycling, none of the old fashioned exercise bikes here, thank you very much. This week he is taking part in the Fan Dance, an SAS style march across Pen-y-fan. This will be his third time doing the challenge which involves carrying an extremely heavy bergen, military style.
I have a walking football team playing on a Monday evening, for the less active or anyone with a health concern. This is a growing sport, along with Walking Netball.
If sport doesn’t take your fancy, or you want to do something to relax, then we have other space to let for classes, or less energetic exercise. This year, I’m working of filing these spaces with clubs and I can do some amazing introductory prices. Contact me, if you want to know more about facilities to hire, or if I can put you in touch with any of our clubs.
