This week I have hosted two ad-hoc events. The first was the Moulton Morris Men annual bash, which was held in the main hall here, with the lecture hall being used as a bar/buffet area. A live band provided the music, and needless to say, there was lots of dancing! It was a great evening, and the 45th time the school has played host to them.
On Sunday morning we had a childs birthday party, here in the Sports Hall. The children played bubble football, something which is very new to me. The children spent as much time rolling around the hall in the bubble suits as they did playing football in them. The parents provided a buffet for the children, and the whole thing was very well received.
Also new to Moulton is the Northants baseball club, who are training on the Astro on a Sunday morning. Its great to get these new bookings, and I’m pleased that we have got the weekend booking off the ground!
One of my roller derby groups is having a match here later this month, so that will be another weekend booking.
I’m still looking for bookings for the summer holidays, I have a soccer camp pencilled in already for the sports hall, but I still have the gym, main hall and drama studio available. The library is also a very nice facility for wet days. I can mix the rooms up for variety.
Finally, for those that haven’t had the pleasure, and are wondering what on earth bubble football is, I have attached a picture. There are both childrens and adult sizes!!
