I am coming up for 3 months in my role and am finding the job all it lived up to be and more. It’s taking time to learn all nuances of the job, the school and the people on all sides; but it’s really great for me. I believe in the company and my training and induction has been excellent.
Having been in the training industry for the last 8 years I was constantly banging my head against the wall as I watched businesses ignore their employees development needs, putting profits first and not looking at the longer term profitability that comes from loyal staff (reduced turnover of staff) and people who approach their jobs as professionals, not a job to suit until a better paid one happens.
Schools Plus from what I have witnessed has a history of promoting from within and also, perhaps more importantly, acknowledging their staff as the individuals they are, warts and all. There is a clear appreciation of the fact we are all different and that we all have lots to offer in different ways. Of the people I have met at Schools Plus not a single one has stated that they hate their job or think the company is not what it should be or could be. This includes people who have had to deal with a range of ‘crap’ and the occasional long hours!
This is a company I am proud to be a part of!
