Welcome back to another week of our Schools Plus Interview series – Who do you think we are?
In this weekly series members of the Schools Plus team will be asked a series of questions about them and their job here at Schools Plus. We thought this would be a great way to find out more about our staff. There is a huge array of jobs and people here at Schools Plus so every interview will be totally different. You will get an insight into their day to day life, their time before us and a bit more about the team.
Who are you?
Ernest Coll
What is your role at Schools Plus?
Operations Director / Area manager/ Whatever needs doing including the tea.
As Schools Plus is all over the country where are you based?
I live in Chesterfield but work all over the country.
How long have you worked for Schools Plus?
8 years.
What did you do before you worked at Schools Plus?
Self-employed Sub post master and shop owner, McDonalds area manager, some other things in between but those are the highlights I suppose
What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?
Working with the site teams.
Can you describe a typical working day for you?
Every day is different. As Forest Gump said, “life is like a box of chocolates” sadly no one removes the coffee creams.
What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?
Our future in limited by only by our ambition and imagination. If you are worried about the competition start with the man in the mirror.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have an autistic granddaughter who takes up most of my spare time. Whatever makes her happy is good enough for me. This usually consists of swimming. Visits to the park and McDonalds.
You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?
Red because it’s the most assertive colour
Finally, what is your favourite song and why?
Bridge Over Troubled Water, just because I like it.
