Welcome back to another week of our Schools Plus Interview series – Who do you think we are?
In this weekly series, members of the Schools Plus team will be asked a series of questions about them and their job here at Schools Plus. We thought this would be a great way to find out more about our staff. There is a huge array of jobs and people within the company and every interview will be totally different. You will get an insight into their day to day life, their time before working here and a bit more about the team.
Who are you?
I am Evaldas Dainys.
What is your role at Schools Plus?
I’m a venue manager in London.
As Schools Plus is all over the country where are you based?
I am based at the North West and West London sites which are Copthall School, Hendon School, Elstree College and Queens Park Community School.
How long have you worked for Schools Plus?
I started with Schools Plus in November 2015 as a venue host.
What did you do before you worked at Schools Plus?
Before Schools Plus I was a full time student studying mechanical engineering and graphic design.
What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?
My favourite part of working for Schools Plus is having the ability to learn about the many different cultures we have during events such as weddings, funeral wakes and birthdays.
Can you describe a typical working day for you?
My days vary a lot! On an average day I’ll get myself ready and go through the emails and general Schools Plus work. Once the operational hours begin, I’ll check in with the staff to see that everything is well. If its a weekend and I decide to have some rest time, I would go onto the sites to pay the staff and customers a visit.
What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?
Schools Plus in my opinion is a great idea when you consider the amount of unused spaces within Schools. The company has a huge potential for growth and I would say a possible expansion into countries abroad could be interesting.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I tend to relax rather than be active although there are times where I would spend a few hours a week at the gym or just generally spending time with friends as I am a social person.
You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?
I would say that I would be the red one. Its my favourite colour and it is usually the one that stands out from the crowd.
Finally, what is your favourite song and why?
This is an odd answer but my current song of the year is Celine Dion – Ashes. The song speaks to me and is from one of my favourite movies.
Come back next week for another Schools Plus interview.
