Welcome back to another week of our Schools Plus Interview series - Who do you think we are?

In this weekly series members of the Schools Plus team will be asked a series of questions about them and their job here at Schools Plus. We thought this would be a great way to find out more about Schools Plus staff. There is a huge array of jobs and people here at Schools Plus so every interview will be totally different. You  will get an insight into their day to day life, their time before Schools Plus and a bit more about the team.

Who are you?

Sam Kalirai

What is your role at Schools Plus?

Venue Manager for Bexleyheath Academy, Trinity School &  Welling School.

As Schools Plus is all over the country where are you based?

Bexleyheath (SE London)

How long have you worked for Schools Plus?

I have worked for Schools Plus at two separate times. I worked from September 2012 to November 2016 (all operational positions), then had the great fortune to return in April 2017 as Venue Manager.

What did you do before you worked at Schools Plus?

I previously worked at Curry’s and studied at University.

What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?

Each day is always different…one minute you could be doing admin at home and the next you could be on site with your teams and customers. The flexibility and opportunity to work from home is a beautiful thing.

Can you describe a typical working day for you?

All working days are different but on average I spend most days dealing with customer queries/booking, liaising with our clients, discussing important matters with my team leads. I also pop into my sites frequently to see the teams, work on shift and to conduct viewings.

What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?

I believe that Schools Plus has grown so vastly in such a short time and will continue to go from strength to strength. We have great people in the company who will help to drive us in all the right directions.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my family, fiance and friends. I like to read as well as binge watch tv shows/films.

You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?

I would go with Blue as it symbolises loyalty and confidence.

Finally, what is your favourite song and why?

Oasis – Wonderwall…simply because it is a classic.
