For this weeks blog I thought I would talk a bit about what I have done in the past and how I came to be a Schools Plus Venue Manager, as I have recently taking over as Manager of Ark John Keats.
I original trained as a Dancer at The Urdang Academy in London. I worked for a few years on various contracts around the world. A highlight was opening for Pink on her World Tour at Wembley Arena in 2007. Soon I moved into acting and retrained at Drama Studio London in a post graduate in acting. After this I landed the lead role of Ralph in Sell A Doors National Production of “The Lord Of The Flies”. This was a fantastic tour and we traveled all across the UK playing to sold out theaters. After this I appeared in a Lynx Advert that appeared on E4 and Channel 4 and was involved in various London productions and appeared in numerous Interdependent Films. Through this I started my won production company with a friend and went on to write and produce three short films and an online sketch show.
Deciding I wanted to move more into the business side of things I started working for Schools Plus as a Venue Host in 2013 at ARK Wembley Academy. Through this I saw the advertisement for Venue Managers and decided to put myself forward. After several rounds of interviews I was offered Venue Manager at ARK Globe Academy which I was thrilled to accept. Although a very different direction for my career through the role I have learn so much and grown in experience and also greatly enjoyed becoming part of the Schools Plus team. ARK Globe Academy is a fantastic school and they have made me very welcome in my role.
I look forward to see where I will go in the future and more years with Schools Plus.
