Wild Style Breakers
Ron Case phoned me about 18 months ago to check if we have a dance studio or a hall that he can use to teach his little customers how to break dance. He came to have a look shortly after and was obviously taken by the facilities, so much so that he booked two sessions right from the off. He runs an hour class on a Thursday evening at 18:00 and then another 2-hour session on Saturdays at 10:00.
Ron’s classes are hugely popular due to the fact that he jumps right in and teaches the dancers to spin on their heads, perform flips and all that with the music on loud in the background. He also focusses on the fitness elements that has to be developed in line with the dance activities.
Ron himself is a hugely social character, which I believe is one of the reasons for his success in running the dance classes. It must only have been the second time that I ever saw Ron when he said to me: “If you ever want to learn to spin on your head, just come in and I’ll teach you!” I found that highly amusing, maybe due to the mental image of me spinning on my head.
As well as teach the dancers how to do the obvious, Ron instils respect and a need to win in them. They often attend competitions around the country, which the dancers much look forward to. Parents often get to accompany their children on these little adventures and sometimes it seems like they are more excited than the kids themselves!
Ron doesn’t have a website, but uses his Facebook page to stay in touch with customers and market his business at the same time, so please have a look here:
