Helium Beer
Having recently completed my own degree in engineering, the opportunity to visit the apparent “faterland of engineering.” (Germany) Admittedly I mainly went to watch the DTM in Nuremberg, but spent the week before the event, getting to know the place.
Whilst there, I observed a very clean, generally very well organised people who take pride in what they do and nothing more so than in the beer they make. I have to say at this point that I am personally not much of a beer drinker and as in our beloved England the cross section of drinking culture in Germany is very diverse. This said though, even the biggest non-drinkers will, at times sample a bit of local beer and rave about it as if they made it themselves. Personally I respect loyalty and patriotism, so good on them.
As a rum drinker, I have had the odd beer now and again, but always find it practically inflates me, which is very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, on my host’s recommendation, I tried a German wheat beer. The second I tasted the beer, I was converted! Instantly! Smooth tasting, not too bitter, slightly chilled and not too gassy at all. In fact I had three pints and still felt bright and breezy, which is a stark contrast to my previous experiences with beer. From that point on, I was on a mission to try various different beers over the following week. I can seriously recommend having a beer in Germany. I didn’t have one awful tasting beer and some very tasty ones. It was definitely a taste adventure that I shall be re-creating in the future.
Earlier today, whilst trawling Facebook, as most of us do these days, a German beer video popped up on my screen:

With my new found interest in this peculiar substance, I decided to have a look. Even though I can hardly say “hallo”, I got the just of it and came very close to wetting myself with laughter! What a genius idea! I am certainly going to try to get hold of this stuff to feed some unsuspecting visitor some day soon! Just imagine the hilarity of such a situation!
Since it’s officially school holidays now, I’ve followed suit and veered off topic a bit with regards to work. Even you need a break. 😉
Please note that we do not sell beer, but should you wish to book a sports hall, astro turf pitch or dance studio, I can most certainly help you.
