Summer Holidays
The seven week summer holidays are now more than half gone. It seems like time moves faster when the it is holiday time, I suppose that’s where the saying “Time flies when you’re having fun” comes from.
Although many of you may be taking advantage of this time of year to go away for an extra long camping trip or venture abroad, The Venue is in full swing and a hive of activity.
The school takes this chance to get some maintenance and deep cleaning done around the daily activities of The Venue. This naturally takes quite a bit of organisation on both parts, but it’s all worth it to cause customers as little as possible or in most cases, no inconvenience at all.
Furthermore, the Futsal league on a Monday evening is well into the season with teams training hard every week to ensure that they stand a chance to win the league trophy in May next year.
Although yoga classes has now stopped till Septemebr, along with ChaSamba (almost like salsa dancing,) the weekly Zumba and Clubbercise classes seems to be growing in popularity.
Football activities on the astro turf has died down a little till mid-September, but many a group still use the Sports hall to keep fit.
Badminton is still going strong on a Wednesday evening from 8 – 10pm. A few players are absent here and there, presumably on holiday, but the club attends weekly like clockwork.
Ron Case’s dance class will be back in on 5 September for a two hour session every Saturday morning and a weekday session every Thursday from 6-7pm.
So as you can see, in spite of the “quiet” season being upon us, there is still plenty to get involved in at The Academy.
Should you be interested in letting a facility or just getting involved in any of the above activities, please contact us.
