Today I’m super excited to be sharing a blog post written by Sophie from the Customer Contact Centre. Although we work in the same office the teams job is totally different to the marketing department so it’s great for them to be sharing some more about their day to day.
It’s been quite a busy few months here at the Customer Contact Centre – we’ve moved into a larger office space in April, we’re looking to welcome our first Customer Contact Centre baby as Odette has left for maternity leave and we’ve recruited three new members of staff – now we are looking to hire a fourth!
Currently, our team consists of our manager, Simon, Alice, our marketing manager, Krista, Sophie and Sean are the customer contact operatives and Donna, working on renewals. Today was also the day we welcomed Conor, our new marketing assistant whose main focus will be the Schools Plus social media channels.
Whilst most of our days are usually ridiculously busy, we still have the rare occasion where we have time to catch up on any side projects and admin – today was not that day. Post-bank holiday weekend we were greeted with just over 170 new enquiries, two rather filled inboxes and an incoming new staff member.
Throughout the morning we looked into quite a large variety of one off events, regular bookings and contract renewals. Our favourites of the morning included a Pre-Wedding Party for Ark John Keats, a potential language tuition summer camp that would involve teaching English to Italians for West London, a 50th birthday party enquiry, as well as numerous children’s parties enquiries that involved Nerf guns, bouncy castles and a Gamezbus.
The one that came out on top was for an adults lightsaber party – which, among the office sparked the debate on whether you’d like to be abducted by a cyberman or a stormtrooper. We ended this with a firm agreement that we’d all rather be abducted by Stormtroopers if the opportunity arose.
Heading into lunchtime saw Simon and Alice off for a working lunch with the London Academy of Gymnastics and Dance in nearby Cosy Club. They had a productive discussion in regards to future collaborations for future projects.Back in the office, we then looked into the numerous sporting enquiries we had, mostly from My Local Pitch, a friendly 3rd party whom we work with a lot. We deal with lots of badminton, basketball, football, netball and basketball for many of our schools in London and the Northern areas.
Upon, Simon’s return form the customer meeting, we had a long awaited table tennis match between him and Sean. Using the waterlogged table ended with a win for Simon.
Alice has been focusing more on building a microsite for St. Johns Wood, which is a much anticipated new school we are looking to take on from the 6th June 2018. She’s also been working on building a marketing list, which we are all excited for as we are really keen in sharing everything we’ve been up to and all the things we are looking forward to!
Towards the end of day we expanded into arranging a few viewings of facilities, trying to find some storage and crash mats for Cheerleaders at Falconwood, looking into hosting a lecture about ancient archaeological sites and ruins for Chobham and quite a large amount of enquiries for international yoga day.
Once 5pm arrives it’s time for the Customer Contact Centre to close and we head home for trips to the gym, playing football, eating and just recharging for the next day.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this little insight and we look forward to sharing with you again.
