So, we are now in March and if you’re anything like me you still haven’t started that healthy eating kick and vigorous exercising plan!! I think that a lot of us put pressure on ourselves to start afresh on January first each year but busy lives and general day to day tasks can make this difficult to achieve. Some people want to eat better and get fit to improve their health, some people do it for the social element and some people like myself want to do it to lose weight, now as a busy mum of 3 I find it difficult to make time for myself and to find a form of exercise that I enjoy. Now I’m most definitely not a runner and going to the gym is both expensive and tedious to me so i looked at other ways i could lose weight whilst having fun at the same time.
DANCING!!!!!!!!!
A great form of exercise which burns calories whilst doing something you enjoy, I love a good boogie and if any ladies out there have ever danced the night away in heels you know what that burn in your thighs the day after feels like!
There are many types of dance classes available from, street dance, ballroom, salsa, ballet and many more. Some classes are now a mixture of dancing and aerobics such as zumba or clubbercise.
Here at Dinnington high school there are a range of different activities available one of those is evening dance classes, Margaret Huntley school of dance offers dance classes specialising in Latin and Ballroom.
Margaret teaches classes from age 5 upwards and has years of teaching experience so you know you’re in safe hands, her beginner’s classes are held on Wednesday evenings at Dinnington High School 8:30pm till 9:30pm in the New Gym and are a bargain at only £6.50.
Margaret also has classes in the New Gym on a Thursday 7:30 till 9:30pm
So why not come along and try a class and finally start that new year’s resolution, you never know you might fall in love with it and be the newest member of strictly come dancing.
