{"id":355,"date":"2016-12-18T21:20:08","date_gmt":"2016-12-18T21:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/?p=355"},"modified":"2016-12-18T21:20:08","modified_gmt":"2016-12-18T21:20:08","slug":"christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/2016\/12\/18\/christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Standard\">As we know Christmas is celebrated in many countries around the world and is a wonderful time of year full of joy, happiness and giving to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Nativity.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-351\" src=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Nativity-300x185.jpg\" alt=\"Nativity\" width=\"300\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Nativity-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Nativity.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">Here at Dinnington High School there is a lot of festivities going around, offices in the school are decorated with Christmas items as is some of the classrooms, the main entrance to the school has a beautiful big Christmas tree which looks just wonderful in the evening when he lights are shining brightly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/xmas-tree.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-358\" src=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/xmas-tree.jpeg\" alt=\"xmas tree\" width=\"217\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">Some of the children at the school have worked extremely hard to produce their version of Bugsy Malone which was showcased between the 29<sup>th<\/sup> November and the 1<sup>st<\/sup> of December. The cast included Bugsy, Blousey, Tallulah and Fat Sam to name a few. Tickets were sold and seating and tables were put in place for the big event. It was a wonderful event watched by many in the main hall of the school. All the cast appeared to have a lot of fun and the spectators all had a wonderful time and were amazed how well the children the performed and what a great take on Bugsy they did.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Bugsy.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-356\" src=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsplus.co.uk\/dinnington\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2016\/12\/Bugsy.jpeg\" alt=\"Bugsy\" width=\"240\" height=\"132\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Standard\">Some other students this week have done a concert which they named the Big Sing and this was watched by pupils and families in the evening. On Friday the 16<sup>th<\/sup> December the children at Dinnington high school finished at 2.15pm for the Christmas holidays and the school are hosting a competition for the best Christmas jumper.. There is prizes given for the best decorated and most original jumpers.
