Things to do, places to see.
Our teams top 5 list of exciting places to visit based around our site!
- The Shard (Joiner Street, London SE1)
One of our favourites! Towering right over the bourough of Southwark it really is a sight to see. From the humble surroundings of Elephant & Castle all the way over to the pretty lights of the London Eye it really does give you a bird’s eye view of the bustling city below. Although it comes at a high cost with tickets from £25.95 upwards it’s something you should do at least once in your life… and a glass of champagne is included, who can say no!
- Shakespeare Globe Theatre (21 New Globe Walk, London SE1 9DT)
A wonderful day out with both family and friends. Where better than to experience Shakespeare in all his glory through the stunning architecture of the one and only Globe Theatre. Sit in the stalls of what once housed the playwright himself and watch a cast of stunningly talented actors and actresses perform some of the beautiful classics right where they belong.
- Tate Modern (53 Bankside, London SE1 9TG)
Just one stop away from Elephant and Castle station or a nice leisurely walk through the city, one of London’s most infamous art galleries is right here at our fingertips. Explore the rooms of the Tate Modern and see some of the world’s finest artwork. From the beautiful landscape paintings to the edgy, abstract sculptures, we are sure there is something there to take absolutely everyone’s fancy. And of course if this is simply not enough the Tate comes complete with a bustling row of shops and restaurants to keep you satisfied. Oh, and did we mention its right next to the Thames?! What more could you possibly want.
- The Cinema Museum (2 Dugard Way, London SE11 4TH)
What better than a trip to the cinema, you ask. Well how about a trip to see absolutely all of your favourite films up close and personal. Whether it’s for work or play we are sure you will have a wonderful time here.
