The Little Schools Plus Drummer Boy.
The 14th of January on a chilly new year’s night
With the streets filled with people, their faces showing delight,
The stage was set for our annual Christmas soiree
The schools plus family all arrived to par-tay.
The whole team gathered with gift in hand,
To celebrate together an evening so grand.
We seated at the tavern with a drink to enjoy,
And a great meal too, what fun! Oh boy!
We sat there so keenly, with joyous intent,
Of giving gifts we brought for our Secret Santa event.
As we cheered to remember our team members gone,
No story was missed of our new ones, not one!
We finished the meals we enjoyed with such splendour,
As we figured the name of each of the sender.
The gifts we exchanged were a marvellous conclusion,
To a magical evening with all persons inclusion.
As we said our goodbyes once the evening was done,
We had one final word of the new year to come.
We laughed one last time, what a night to remember!
So good we forgot, it wasn’t even December!
