Half Term Catch Up – February 2019
Half-Terms are always an exciting time at Schools Plus! Many of our regular customers take a well-earned break from their scheduled classes, which leads to lots of new booking opportunities and availability across our sites. We were lucky enough during this February Half-Term to see a lot of new and exciting customers who booked in a wide range of exciting events, classes and holiday camps.
One customer we really enjoyed hosting over the Half-Term was Eastbourne Music + Arts Festival at Causeway School. This competitive festival spanned the whole week at Causeway School and was a big success, attracting thousands of victors and competitors. We hosted this same event last year and the Eastbourne Music + Arts Festival team had this say on their experience with Schools Plus;
The Schools Plus Team at Causeway made us so welcome this year and we are looking forward to holding another very successful Festival
We’re thrilled to hear that the Festival went so well, that they’ve already booked in for next years half-term.
It isn’t only new customers we see during Half-Term; a lot of existing customers use this opportunity to add in extra bookings. Such was the case with Moving Matters, a regular customer of ours that specialists in PE teaching and sports coaching in primary schools, who took advantage of the clearer calendar space to run a half-term Holiday Camp. Moving Matters operate out of Elm Green School and their Holiday Active Camps are always very popular.

Similar to Moving Matters, we also had Active Camps in for a week-long residency in St John’s Wood. Active Camps are a relatively new customer with us who enjoyed a fun first week Active Holiday Camp at Harris Academy St John’s Wood, hosting various sports and activities across the School.

Another benefit of the Half-Term availability is that we at Schools Plus often take the opportunity to book ourselves some time in at the Schools. We use this time either for staff training exercises, operation meetings or, was the case this half-term, filming days.
We’ve recently started our Youtube Channel, which we are excited to start filling with Virtual Tour videos of our Schools. We think these tours will be invaluable for customers looking to get a feel of the School before committing to a booking.
This Half-Term we used the new availability to book film shoots at the following Schools; Harris Academy Falconwood, Haberdashers’ Aske’s Knights Academy, Harris Academy Bromley and a new School of ours launching soon; Harris Academy Invictus Croydon.
Other stand out bookings this half-term included; a free style soccer academy at Moulton School & Science College, Chess Rising Stars at Pimlico Academy and a performing arts and childcare club called 2 Da Stage at Ark Academy.
We hope you enjoyed this brief run down of the numerous events and activities we saw during February Half-Term. If you’re considering a one-off event or even regular holiday camp bookings with us for the next break in the School schedule, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
