For somebody who doesn’t know too much about football in general, the differences between indoor and outdoor football can be quite minimalistic. However, ask anybody who loves their sport, and they will list you all the differences as well as the similarities between the two.
Whether you prefer to play on a pitch or in a hall, we believe that playing indoors can improve certain skills that will make you a better player when it comes to showing off your talent.
First of all, when playing indoors, the halls are usually quite a bit smaller than a 3G pitch. Not having a lot of time on the ball and instead, having defenders challenging you all the time will force you to really think on your feet and make a quick judgement call. Thinking fast, assessing the situation and deciding what to do within seconds, will furthermore improve your ability to control the game as well.
The second notable thing is that when playing football indoors, there are no out of bounds which is quite a game changer as it rarely stops. Players hardly catch a break, leaving them to run for pretty much the whole duration of the game. This, however, improves their overall physical fitness levels and improves their running skills.
The other advantage of no out of bounds is that teams in general have less ability to kick the ball far away as it will just bounce back onto the field. This is where smart players can utilize kicking the balls against the wall as a one-two to steal past defenders. This trick is not easy to defend players who master it, definitely have an advantage over the other team.
But in the end we like to think that all in all football should be enjoyable. So stick with whatever you prefer, whether it be indoor or outdoor football and just have fun.
