Welcome to our new series of School Plus FAQs, where we will run you though the answers and solutions to some common questions and concerns we’ve been asked by our customers over the years.
Today, we’re going to look at what you should do when you arrive on-site for your booking with us. We’ve had some customers slightly confused in the past, so to clear things up we’ve put together a few of their frequently asked questions and answered them below…
Question: Can I park at the school?
Answer: We are only able to answer this on a school by school basis. The member of our enquiry team who you made your booking with will be able to tell you about the parking situation at your school. You will also start to see this answered in our new booking confirmation emails.
Q: Where do I go when I arrive?
A: You should always report to the School’s Plus reception point where a member of the Schools Plus onsite staff team will be based. We will sign you in and then direct you to where you need to go for your booking
Q: Does this apply If I’m a regular returning customer?
A: Yes. We require all customers to be signed in, regardless of how many times you’ve used the venue before. We only require the customer who is responsible for the booking to sign in at most sites. There are a small number of of our sites that do require all users to sign in, but they are the exception to the rule.
Q: What if I can’t find anyone?
A: On the very rare occasion that you can’t seem to find a Schools Plus staff member on arrival, then please ring our Site Mobile which a member of our staff will answer. You can find the individual Site Mobile number for your venue on your booking confirmation email and also on our Welcome Sign at reception.
Q: Should I arrive early before my booking starts?
A: We ask that our customers do not arrive early for their bookings, as to not disturb the customers in before them. Therefore, we would kindly ask all customers to try their best to not be on site any earlier than fifteen minutes before their booking. This may not be possible for the first booking, which is usually 6PM but please check locally.
Q. As the person responsible for the booking do I have any responsibilities for fire evacuation?
A. Yes, you should have a register of all your users and be able to account for them if we need to perform a fire evacuation. If you are in charge of a large group were this is not practicable, alternative fire evacuation procedures must be agreed with the venue manager.
Q. As the person responsible for the booking do I have any other Health and Safety responsibilities?
A. Yes, Schools Plus will have conducted a risk assessment for your room or area. It is up to you to conduct a risk assessment for your activity and ensure that you have appropriate insurance.
Q: Do I have to sign out?
A: Yes. We require all our customers to sign out with us after their bookings. We do not require customers to sign out there are some exceptions to this rule check locally.
We hope this FAQ managed to clear up any questions you might have had about arriving for your on-site booking with us! Keep checking back to the blog in the future to see more Schools Plus FAQs added.
