Sports Hall for football?
In this week’s blog, I want to talk about our awesome sports hall we have at St Johns.
A few nights ago, I was watching the weather forecast for the next few days. Guess What? These horrible windy, rainy, wintery conditions are set to last for the coming months, as they always do. If you are playing / training for various sports outside this is not an exciting concept. This is particularly true for football and rugby clubs.
Being a parent to boys who played grassroots football, I know one of the worst experiences is standing in an unsheltered field during winter. Your beautiful shoes slowly but surely sink in the bog-like mud. The rain feels like it is slicing your face. The cold wind slowly bites into to your toes and fingers.
If you are involved in football from coaching, playing or even a parent of a player, you will know of the horror that is winter. Standing in that boggy field battling all that Mother Nature can throw at you. You wish for somewhere that is warm, sheltered and clean. Somewhere maybe like a sports hall
Well coincidently, at St Johns we have just such a place. A great modern sports hall that is available to hire at evenings, weekends and during the school holidays. The sports hall comes with a range of facilities such five a side goals, badminton posts and cricket nets. The sports hall also features range of markings for
- 4 badminton courts
- 5 a side football
It is the perfect space for those winter training sessions.
As we enter the winter season using a sports hall becomes ever more tempting. Our sports hall which sits waiting for you to use is a great way to avoid the horrible weather outside. The players will love it – They will not get their lovely kits muddy! The coaches will love it – Happy players = better players! The parents will love it – Who wants to battle the elements week after week? Everyone is happy, so what’s the delay? Book your slot today!
