Helen O’Grady Drama Academy<\/p><\/div>\n

Established\u00a0in 1979 internationally and running since 1994 in the UK, The Helen O\u2019Grady\u00a0Drama Academy offers a very successful and affordable developmental drama\u00a0programme for\u00a02\u00bd\u00a0\u00a0to 18 year olds.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0drama classes help to boost confidence, build self-esteem and improve verbal\u00a0communicative skills with an emphasis on FUN!\u00a0\u00a0All of our specially trained teachers follow a unique,\u00a0structured,\u00a0professional curriculum that explores voice, movement and creative drama.\u00a0\u00a0Youth Theatre students will find our\u00a0curriculum very beneficial if they are studying Drama at\u00a0G.C.S.E and \u2018A\u2019\u00a0Level.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Academy year is divided into 3 terms: Terms 1 and 2 are devoted to an extensive\u00a0developmental programme and Term 3 aims to amalgamate many of the drama skills\u00a0taught during\u00a0the year into a short scripted play to be performed at our end of\u00a0term Summer Productions.\u00a0Certificates\u00a0and yearly awards are presented on stage at the conclusion of the show, which\u00a0is\u00a0always a rewarding experience for everyone involved.<\/p>\n

We truly\u00a0believe that enthusiastic students who can speak out clearly and relate\u00a0confidently with their peers, develop skills that make the journey through life\u00a0much easier.<\/p>\n

Classes\u00a0held weekly during term time on Saturday mornings in Gravesend<\/p>\n

Lower Primary (5-8 years)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0–\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a010am\u00a0– 11am
\nUpper Primary (8-11 years)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0–\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a011am\u00a0– noon
\nYouth Theatre (12 – 18 years)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0–\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a012\u00a0– 1pm<\/p>\n

Our spacious drama studio is available to hire on weekends, school holidays and after school. Our drama studio contains black theatre curtains and stage blocks perfect for your drama productions. The soundproofed studio\u00a0allows you the rehears in private and in silence\u00a0ensuring your performance will be perfect for your\u00a0\u00a0final production<\/p>\n

Uniquely at St Johns, Schools Plus can provide t a large modern \u00a0dance studio. Our dance studio is complete with sprung\u00a0wooden floor and 2 walls with floor to ceiling mirrors. Ideal for dance groups, jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, acting, singing, street dance, hip hop, adult tap and even\u00a0 fitness classes.<\/p>\n
