Who are you?
Sophie
What is your role at Schools Plus?
Customer Operative at the Customer Contact Centre.
As Schools Plus is all over the country where are you based?
We’re based in Bournemouth by the seafront, although there is a multi story car park blocking the view.
How long have you worked for Schools Plus?
Since early September 2017.
What did you do before you worked at Schools Plus?
Before I worked in Schools Plus, I worked in recruitment for a marketing and sales company in Norwich and previously to that I studied Forensic Science at the University of Lincoln.
What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?
Every day is completely different. Whether it’s dealing with different schools, customers or the variety of different bookings you get.
Can you describe a typical working day for you?
I get in for about 8:30am and then begin to work through the emails that come overnight, and contracts from the previous afternoon. The emails we get vary from one off event requests for parties, to adding in an extra booking or even referring people to the correct person. Lunch time at 12! Then I’m the first responder for calls in the afternoon as well as answering emails, contracts and availability until 5pm.
What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?
I hope Schools Plus will continue to grow and take on more schools around the country and create a national name for itself.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
On Monday’s I do Yoga, and on Wednesday’s I do Kenpō although both at an amateur level and probably rather unsuccessfully some weeks. I’m also partial to a Netflix/Amazon Prime box set. I also really enjoy cooking and the odd video game.
You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?
I would be the mint green crayon, because that’s my favourite colour.
Finally, what is your favourite song and why?
Polaroid by Imagine Dragons, although the new Taylor Swift album is raising up my most played.
Come back next week for another Schools Plus interview.
