Aldercar High School is a popular secondary school located in its namesake town of Aldercar in Derbyshire. Through being a Schools Plus Partner School, Adlercar High School’s facilities are open to hire and use by the local community on Evenings, Weekends and School Holidays.
We wanted to use this blog to take on you on a tour of Aldercar High School and show you around the different halls, studios, pitches and more available to hire there.
Let’s start with the Sports Hall, a very popular facility to book at Aldercar High School and for good reason! This multi-functional venue has sprung wooden flooring and has the line-markings and equipment for activities such as Futsal, Badminton, Basketball and Volleyball. There are also Cricket Nets available for Cricket bookings as well.
Moving on to an equally impressive Hall space, in the Main Hall. This spacious setting has retractable seating for up to 220 guests, wooden flooring and AV Lighting and enhanced audio options upon request. This is a great location to host community events and gatherings.
The 2G Astro Pitch is suitable for both Football and Hockey bookings and can be hired either as separate individual pitches or as an entire pitch booking, whatever suits your booking best!
Another indoor option for active bookings is the Activity Studio. This space can function either as a Drama Studio, with black-out curtains available, or as a Dance Studio, with mirrors available to help enhance Dance or Fitness classes. There are also ceiling lights and projector options available for use as well.
Heading back outside again briefly for another facility that can host active bookings at Alder Car High School, this time it’s the Multi-Use Games Area. The MUGA comes complete with 3x Netball Courts and also makes a great general fitness area for any bookings of that kind that would prefer to be outside.
As with the vast majority of our Partner Schools, Aldercar High School has kindly allowed a select number of their classrooms to be available for community use and hire. Classrooms are great venues for a wide range of bookings including tuition classes, worship groups, language schools, informal meetings, interviews, workshops and more.
